International Pallottine Youth Meet 2025: A Jubilee of Faith, Hope, and Global Unity
Casa per Ferie San Vincenzo Pallotti, Rome | 28 July – 03 August 2025
Under the banner "Be a Pilgrim of Hope in the World Today", 66 young Pallottines from 20
countries gathered in the heart of Rome for the International Pallottine Youth Meet 2025, a
vibrant celebration of unity, faith, hope and mission. The week-long encounter, held from 28
July to 03 August, coincided with the Jubilee of Youth, forming part of the Church’s larger
jubilee celebrations.
A Spirit-Filled Gathering of Global Youth
With hearts ignited by the Pallottine charism and inspired by the words of St. Vincent
Pallotti, “As long as one lives, there is hope,” youth from diverse backgrounds came together
for an experience of deep formation, spiritual renewal, and joyful fellowship.
A Synodal Journey: Listening, Reflecting, Acting:
Structured around the “See, Judge, Act” method, the gathering created space for:
Inspirational keynote sessions
Personal reflection and prayer
Group discussions (both intercultural and regional)
Common discernment
Development of concrete action plans to carry forward at the national and regional
levels
This wasn’t just an event—it was a ‘pilgrimage of heart, mind, and mission’.
Highlights of the Week:
Opening Ceremony
The gathering opened with a symbolic gesture: each national delegation processed into the
chapel with their country’s flag, offering it at the altar. These were received by Very Rev. Fr.
Zenon Hanas SAC, Rector General, who placed them before the Lord—marking the
international unity of the Pallottine family.
Inspirational Talks
Participants were inspired by powerful sessions, including:
o Fr. Zenon Hanas SAC on ‘Hope and the Pallottine Youth Apostolate’
o Fr. Daniel Rocchetti SAC on “The Mission Calls – A Beautiful Dream for Every
Pallottine Youth”
o Fr. Jacob Nampudakam SAC, UAC President, reflecting on St. Vincent Pallotti and
the youth mission
o Youth-led insights from Ms. Cristina Giangerelli (USA) and Mr. Darragh Kelehan
(Ireland), along with other testimonies from across the globe.
Pilgrimage & Encounters
Visits to St. Peter’s Square, San Salvatore in Onda, and the Pallotti Museum brought the
spiritual heritage of Rome alive.
The special days titled “In Dialogue with the City” allowed participants to enter the Holy
Doors of the Major Basilicas, embracing the Jubilee spirit.
Penitential Day at Circus Maximus
A sacred time of reconciliation, healing, and renewal deeply moved many participants.
Youth Vigil with the Holy Father
At Tor Vergata, under the stars, the youth joined Pope Leo XIV for a powerful vigil and
Eucharist. His words rang in their hearts: “Dear young people aspire to great things, to
holiness, wherever you are. Do not settle for less…”
Walking in the Footsteps of Pallotti
The event concluded with a reflective pilgrimage retracing the journey of St. Vincent
Pallotti—reminding all of their call to holiness and mission.
Cultural Night: Celebrating Unity in Diversity
The vibrant ‘Cultural Evening’ showcased songs, dances, attire, and culinary treats from
every continent—celebrating the diversity and unity of the global Pallottine family.
Outcomes & Looking Ahead:
This gathering was not just a celebration—it was a Launchpad for mission. Key outcomes
include:
A renewed identity as young Pallottine apostles of hope
Concrete action plans for national and regional youth engagement
A commitment to stay connected via social media and online platforms
Plans for continental and national youth encounters in 2026
Preparations for World Youth Day 2027 in South Korea.
Heartfelt Gratitude:
Special thanks were extended to:
Very Rev. Fr. Zenon Hanas SAC and the General Administration
The General Secretariat for the Apostolate
Benefactors, especially Fr. Peter Sticco SAC, Provincial Rector (USA)
Pallottine Provincial/Regional Rectors, parish priests and youth coordinators
Pallottine Sisters from Porta Maggiore and Pia Casa communities
And above all, the youth themselves—for their faith, joy, and courage
Conclusion
We have lived something special. The spirit of St. Vincent Pallotti is alive among the youth
of today. Let us now go forth – with hope, with boldness, and with love – to bring Christ to
all and all to Christ.
Fr. Rahul Philips SAC, of the General Secretariat for the Apostolate, summed up the
experience:
"This event was a spark — a spark of hope, faith, and unity. Now, you are commissioned to
carry that spark into your own realities. Let it not fade, but burn even brighter, igniting the
hearts of other young people around you. Be the light that inspires, the voice that encourages,
and the witness that transforms. The journey doesn't end here — it begins anew, wherever
you are."
